Your biggest question is probably, how much can I borrow?
The size of your mortgage very much reflects how much you need to borrow, how long for and your current (or near future) financial situation.
This includes, as you'd expect, your income.
With every mortgage you have to make monthly repayments at a term you can afford.
For example; if you want to pay off your mortgage in 10 years you'll be making larger monthly repayments than you would if you chose a 20 year term and so on.
Buy To Let mortgages are primarily for landlords who want to a buy property for the purpose of renting it out.
The rules for Buy To Let mortgages are fairly similar to those for normal mortgages, but there are some significant deviations.
You have a good credit track record and aren't overwhelmed with other borrowings, for example, credit cards.

A remortgage is where you take out a new mortgage on your home or a property you already own; either to replace the mortgage you already have, or to borrow money against your property.
Remortgaging can be a big decision to make so here's a list of reasons why someone may want to remortgage their property.
Your current deal is about to end - When your mortgage comes to an end, your lender will put you on a standard variable rate (SVR) which will most likely be higher than your old interest rate.
