Services
Since 2007, Easy Street have helped 1000s of people throughout the UK and abroad.
Most of our business comes from existing clients and referrals due to the expertise, experience and work ethic of our team.
Ian has worked in financial services for over 20 years gaining valuable experience in various roles within the mortgage and insurance industry before setting up Easy Street in 2007.
Despite difficult market conditions in the early years, Ian was able to build solid relationships with both clients and business partners as a result of combining a strong work ethic with expert advice and excellent service.
Here at Easy Street, we're a team of dedicated professionals with many years experience in the mortgage and insurance industry.
Since 2007, we've helped thousands of people from all walks of life to find the right mortgage for them.
From first time buyers through to portfolio landlords, Self-Employed applicants to those looking to purchase homes of non-standard construction, we will search for the solution you need.
In fact, as an organisation, we thrive on problem solving.
The best part of the job is the satisfaction of being able to accommodate mortgage applicants that have struggled to find a solution elsewhere.
Ian Symmonds, Director of Easy Street and Financial Adviser, based in Surrey, talks us through the role of a mortgage broker.
Give the most suitable advice, by taking the time to understand your circumstances and what you're looking to do.
We then explain the options so you can make good choices in line with your priorities.
Find the most suitable deals, by taking that information, exploring the mortgage market and recommending the most suitable solution for you.
Deliver - once you accept the deal, we assess all the documents, manage the application, liaise with the lender and get the mortgage offer issued as quickly as we possibly can.
At Easy Street we help First Time Buyers at every step in the property journey, making sure you understand the process, helping you set your budget and, once you've found a home, gaining you access to a suitable mortgage deal.
There aren't any specific mortgages just for First Time Buyers.
You can choose from most mortgage types, such as fixed rate, variable rate, repayment or interest-only mortgages.
The length of a mortgage is usually 25 years, but it is possible to get shorter or longer mortgage terms.
Mortgage providers view customers as either First Time Buyers, Home Movers or Remortgagers.
It helps them to understand your situation and priorities.
When you're moving house, the main avenues open to you are to 'port' your existing mortgage or take out a new loan.
This means that you may stay with your current lender or you may look for a new one.
Please note it is important to read the terms of your existing mortgage carefully as not all mortgages are portable.
Porting a mortgage means moving it over to the new property.
